The previous evening in the southern French city of Nice, a truck crashed into a horde of individuals observing Bastille Day, France's national occasion, killing no less than 84 and harming more than 200 more. The assault was think and composed, and has roused grieving over the globe.
The Washington Times reports that few French outlets have reported that "ID papers in the truck demonstrated the driver to be a 31-year-old Nice inhabitant with double French and Tunisian citizenship." The city's every day paper, the Nice Matin, recognized the driver as a man named Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel.
A prior rendition of this story reported that a second shooter may have been included, yet it gives the idea this was not the situation.
Disarray ejected when the story was initially reported, as a few scholars and analysts were uncertain whether the truck crashed into the group inadvertently or intentionally. Not long after the truck first crashed into the group, a gunfight broke out amongst police and the assailant.
